van Gogh Style Sunflowers - Close up
I didn't get a chance to load any pictures last year of student art work. I was pregnant with twins, and my mind was so consumed with that, that I never got around to this. I did however, take pictures of their artwork, and would like to share it with anyone out there paying attention. For this project, the students looked at van Gogh's close up view of sunflowers. We focused on filling the paper, and going with the extreme close up. They used oil pastels. I was so happy with how these turned out. We hang their artwork up on the walls in our gym on the walking track. This particular project looked just awesome from the gym floor. Very colorful and easy to see.

These sunflowers are absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to have the students do a close up view.
Thanks for sharing
