Sketch Warm Up

So, we start every art class with a sketch warm up. I got this warm up idea from Art Project For Kids. She is the rock star of art teachers. I am amazed, and don't know how she does all that she does. Anyways.... it is called a doodle book on her site, and you can buy it for $5. So, now that I've used all of them with my students last year, I have to start doodling my own ideas. I know, art teacher, really, you had to BUY a book of start ups for student use..... But - what a time saver. Anyways- so here is one of the sketch warm ups we used yesterday.

and this is what one of my 9th graders did with it - remember this is a sketch warm up, 5 maybe 10 minutes.
